As I have said before street style has  evolved. It’s all about bringing together clean cut and more casual elements. It’s a great dichotomy to have elevated meet sporty. I love it, as it allows me to wear sneakers with everything!

Why don’t we…feel our flower child?

I am so comfortable in this look. The people of the 70’s knew what they were doing. With the loose clothing I felt free and content. What I like about this style is how combining a loose garment with another loose garment still makes this outfit work.  The deconstructionism is my big take away from this. You can try it too with a more modern feel.

Why don’t we…find our inner steam punk?

Nothing says steam punk like a corset. I bought this one forever ago for a steam punk themed party and never tossed it out. Subconsciously I knew I would find a way to make it work in my wardrobe again one day.

Why don’t we… try zucchini noodles?

I love carbs, but carbs don’t love me. However, being raised in an Italian household, I need pasta and sauce in my life or I die. A good solution is zucchini noodles. Having received a veggetti from my wedding shower I was able to make this a reality. I have got to say, I quite like the texture. If you like crunch like I do, I would not recommend cooking the zucchini, but leave it raw and make sure the sauce is nice and hot so as to cook it a little bit with the heat.

I was inspired seeing someone on the street wearing an all-black denim look. Denim top, denim pants, denim jacket, and you know what, it worked great. It was like having a monochromatic look with the same material.  Sometimes to make an outfit look good, you need more of the same, instead of contrasting elements.

Why don’t we…color coordinate our accessories?

If your ever bored with your wardrobe you need some accessories in your life. If you have a shopping problem like I do, then you have more than your share of accessories. Keeping them organized is the only way I can remember what I own and the best way to stay organized is by color. My closet looks like a prism with all of the different shades I have in it.
