Why don’t we…embrace the ruffle?

I honestly don’t even know if I can pull this look off…but I’m doing it! I always thought I should stay away from ruffles in my wardrobe because I thought it aged me in the wrong way. To me, it made me look like a five-year-old posing for a Christmas photo. However, I never tried styling it, so how could I judge it without trying it? Now having tried it on I think I can endorse this trend.

I tried pairing the effeminate ruffle look with something more androgynist and boyish like this cool black jumpsuit. Here is an awesome jumpsuit from Anthropologie if you want to try for yourself. Pair it back to this ruffle shirt to complete the look. So, after experimenting I feel anyone can do the ruffle look, but try balancing it out with something contrasting. Maybe throw in a Converse to create that dichotomy of girly and grunge.
